my must-haves for Thanksgiving side dishes
To start, have your chef’s knife and cutting board handy for all of the prep that comes with a lot of side dishes.
I love to pick up a simple set of white casserole dishes so they can go straight from the oven to the table. Plus they end up matching, with a nice finished look on the table that really highlights the food. If you don’t want a whole set, simply pick up a 2 1/2 quart baking dish or 3 quart baking dish, depending on what the recipe calls for.
Making biscuits? Grab a biscuit cutter set to make your life easier. PLUS it doubles as a round cookie cutter set for holiday cookies!
For cooking, I like to have tools like my glass prep bowls and mixing bowls ready to prep ingredients and mix together everything with a wooden spoon.
A cast iron skillet is hands down my favorite cooking skillet. For a more inexpensive option, check out this Lodge cast iron skillet – I’ve had mine FOREVER.
For roasting vegetables, grab a rimmed half sheet baking pan.
The Instant Pot Pro is how I make my mashed potatoes every single year. It’s a LIFE-SAVER.
