my must-haves for making cookies
There are tons of baking must-haves to use for making cookies. First off, we’ve got the basics including measuring cups, measuring spoons, a spatula, a whisk and a wooden spoon.
To make the batter, I love to use a stand mixer because it leaves my hands free to do a little clean up as it mixes. You can also use a hand mixer and the largest bowl from your set of mixing bowls to make the batter.
A cookie dough scoop is a lifesaver for measuring out even amounts of batter and forming uniform cookies! You may need a marble rolling pin and biscuit cutter set (or any of your favorite cookie cutters!) for roll out cookies like sugar cookies.
Finally, bake up your cookies on a half sheet baking pan or a large baking sheet. I like to line mine with silicone baking mats. Cool the cookies off on cooling racks!

It’s hard to end a post about Christmas cookies without mentioning a yummy beverage to pair with them! You can always go with a classic glass of milk or egg nog, but there are lots of other options to consider.
For a chilled drink, a batch of christmas sangria or christmas punch for the holidays is great for a party! Whip up a batch of Christmas gin with warm spices and fresh orange to serve over ice. If you love something bubbly, try a cranberry spice sparkler.
For a warm beverage, try a piping hot mug of Instant Pot mulled wine! If you need a nonalcoholic option, this mulled apple cider is delicious (and you can also add booze if you want to!). Of course, a classic pairing is a mug of slow cooker hot chocolate and your favorite holiday cookie!
