Curling up with a Boozy Zebra Hot Chocolate is just the way to unwind after a hard day of work. The decadent combination of white chocolate and dark chocolate comes together in a rich cocktail with a bite of booze, a touch of sweetness and a hint of bitterness. It’s the one cocktail you won’t be able to stop sipping!

I don’t know where you are in the world, but baby, it’s cold here in Denver.
Ok so maybe it’s cold, then warm, then FREEZING, then sorta warm?, then cold….. And so it goes on and one and on.
It’s quite impossible to dress correctly, and I find myself having to adjust the temperature every day a few degrees here and there so I either don’t freeze to death or burn up while I’m cooking.
Even though it’s not consistently freezing, I am still oh-so in the mood for all the warm cocktails right about now.
Especially when it comes to hot chocolate.
I don’t know why hot chocolate seems to die off for some people when the holidays are over. Yes, I know it’s amazing to cuddle up with a mug full of chocolate next to a lit tree and a Christmas movie, but it’s equally amazing to snuggle up under a blanket with a favorite book and dogs on either side of you, snuggling in for warmth.
I am actually finding myself wishing it would be colder more consistently right now… Don’t tell anyone I know, because they’ll likely rub it in my face the next time I complain about my toes or fingers being cold.
This hot chocolate is the best one I’ve made this winter season.
I have a deep love for both dark and white chocolate, so when the Man suggested I try a zebra hot chocolate, I was TOTALLY on board.
Zebra hot chocolate being the combination of white and dark chocolate (get it? Zebra stripes!), for those of you who didn’t know!
Of course, to really unwind after a long day, I like a little booze in my cup to stall my ever-moving gears.
Each cup of this boozy zebra hot chocolate has a lovely boozy kick that tickles your nose as you take a sip. Then the richness of the combination of the two types of chocolate settles in on your tongue to smooth things out and leave you with a slightly sweet, slightly bitter flavor lingering on your tongue.
You’ll find yourself racing home as fast as you can after a long day of work just so you can get your hands wrapped around a warm mug of THIS.
Trust me 😉

What could I use in place of the 4 1/2 oz vodka?  Thank You!

If you are looking to make it non-alcoholic, you can simply use water in place of the vodka!
