Ready to add a splash of pink to your cocktail game? Learn how to make a delicious pink gin cocktail with just 2 ingredients! This elegant cocktail is an easy add to any cocktail hour or party.
about this pink gin cocktail
Sometimes the simplest combinations create something unexpectedly beautiful. Like this pink gin cocktail – it’s not trendy pink gin from a bottle, but rather a clever combination of London dry gin and a generous splash of Angostura bitters that creates the most stunning rosy hue.
Whenever I make this cocktail, I always notice how the flavors build with each sip. The initial hit of juniper from the gin gives way to warm spices and herbs from the bitters. It’s complex without being complicated, and that’s exactly what makes it perfect for both casual evenings at home and dinner parties where you want to impress without spending the whole time playing bartender.
You probably already have everything you need to make this! No specialty liqueurs or hard-to-find ingredients. Just good gin and Angostura bitters (you know, that bottle with the oversized label that’s been sitting in your cabinet).
ingredients
gin. Use your favorite gin for this recipe. You want to make sure that it’s your favorite brand as the flavor will be prominent in the cocktail. I personally am a fan of Hendricks Gin (especially their Neptunia Gin) and The Botanist is really nice as well.
bitters. We prefer to use Angostura bitters for the best flavor. However, you could also use aromatic bitters if that’s what you have on hand.
lemon twist. A simple lemon twist is the only garnish you need!
this recipe’s must-haves
To make this cocktail, we recommend using a cocktail mixing glass and a cocktail stirring spoon. If you don’t have a mixing glass, you can use a cocktail shaker instead to shake the cocktail instead of stirring.
You will also need a cocktail strainer to strain the cocktail.
Use coupe glasses to serve this drink! Make sure you have a chilled coupe glass for the best results. Of course, if you don’t have this specific type of glass, you can use others like a champagne flute, chilled martini glass, rocks glass, or even a highball glass.

tips and tricks
chill well. We like to serve this cocktail in a chilled glass so it stays nice and cold. You can also chill the gin in the freezer beforehand to make sure it’s really cold.
adjust the bitters. Angostura bitters are strong, so you don’t need more than four dashes in general to make this cocktail. If you want, you can even start with just a couple of dashes, then taste and adjust as desired. You might only want a dash angostura bitters. As always, it’s better to add, because you can’t take away.
too strong? If this cocktail flavour is too strong for you, you can dilute it with some tonic water.

can I turn this pink cocktail into a spritz cocktail?
This cocktail can be turned into a spritz cocktail easily! Simply make the cocktail as instructed, then strain it into a larger spritz glass or stemless wine glass. Top off with prosecco (up to 4 ounces), and enjoy!
can I make this in a big batch?
You can definitely make this cocktail in a big batch! We recommend making it in a large pitcher without ice, stirring to combine. Then place in the refrigerator to chill for at least a few hours (you could also pop it in the freezer to chill faster). To get the right amount of servings, just adjust the serving amount on the recipe card to the amount of people you plan to serve.
