here's how to make it!

Rigatoni al Forno, also known as baked rigatoni, is the ultimate comfort food. Rich and meaty homemade sauce is combined with rigatoni and tons of cheese, then baked until golden brown and gooey. It’s an easy recipe that feeds a crowd, and can even be made ahead of time!

ingredients

extra virgin olive oil yellow onion  ground beef  ground pork garlic  tomato paste dried basil dried oregano dried thyme ground sage red pepper flakes crushed tomatoes  granulated sugar rigatoni  ricotta cheese mozzarella cheese 

make marinara sauce

Brown beef and pork with onion, then cook with dried herbs and tomatoes. Simmer and season to taste.

Cook pasta a couple minutes shy of al dente. Drain and combine with marinara sauce and cheeses.

Add to greased baking dish. Top with cheese and bake until golden brown and bubbling. Garnish with freshly chopped basil.
