Well hey there, hi there, friends!

SURPRISE!

We’ve got a bit of a new look over here on Cake ‘n Knife! This whole project has been a work of love and passion and… well a lot of work!

The truth is, this whole new look has been a long time coming. Of course, I’ve always loved the original Cake ‘n Knife look. It was the first big investment I made in the blog and the first moment I started taking this whole hobby into a career I wanted to build.

After spending two years basically inside because of being pregnant and having an infant all during a global pandemic, the timeline of the brand and website overhaul got moved up to RIGHT NOW.

It’s amazing how motivated you are for change when you are bored at home for a year while being pregnant.

My mission for Cake ‘n Knife is to show you a way to celebrate everyday moments through creative recipes!

So this is my way of circling back to that. There’s nothing like a pandemic to teach you that not only are life’s everyday moments worth celebrating, but you don’t need a giant gathering to celebrate.

I like to approach cooking in a way that doesn’t stress you out or demand perfection. Fresh seasonal ingredients, unique flavor combinations, and a love for gathering people around the table (or in the kitchen) are what you will find here.

As I like to say, everyday moments deserve food worth sharing and flavor worth celebrating.

There’s a whole new homepage, and it’s one that I am SO excited about. Here you can easily access my latest recipes, as well as easily search some of the most popular recipe categories like seasonal and Instant Pot recipes.

A cool new page is my seasonal cooking page. Here’s where you’ll find all the recipes for whatever season it is, and then you can filter down even further to that season to see what’s most popular on the site and the most recent recipes I’ve shared.

So take a look around! Let me know if you have any questions! I’m thrilled to have you here, no matter if you’ve been here since the beginning almost a decade ago (geeez…. I’m old) or you are new here.
